Crystals and gemstones have been used for centuries for their energy and metaphysical properties. Crystal healing can be used in conjunction with professional medical treatment to improve physical, emotional and spiritual health and well being. There are no negative side effects to crystal energy healing nor will it react with other treatments. Below, you will find many ways to utilize crystals and gemstones in energy healing and in gemstone magick.

Crystals and gemstone can also be used in magick in order to bring forth movement or change in a situation. Magick in not a cure-all but a system of support to attract a particular outcome. You can do a money spell to attract money but it is unlikely that you will win the lottery, win a huge lawsuit or receive an inheritance from a rich relative. A money spell can enhance the flow of prosperity into your life. Often it will come in a form that can go easily unnoticed such as a promotion or new job opportunity. Money owed may finally be paid. I have received 2 refunds on an over-paid bill that I had not know about that occurred 4 years previously. Sometimes you don't actually get cash but maybe a service or item that is needed comes to you for much less than expected or perhaps as a gift. Add a crystal or 2 to a glass of water (wash them first). Remove the stones (to avoid swallowing the stones or chipping a tooth) and drink the water envisioning the crystal healing energy flowing into your cells and bringing forth positive changes.
Drop several crystals into your bath water and soak while meditating on the stone's energies.
Create a mojo bag with a cloth scrap that is a color suited to your desire, add a stone or 2, some herbs that support the energy of the stones. You can add charms, trinkets or small found objects. Tie the whole thing off with a string or ribbon. Bless the bag in the smoke of a sage smudge stick. If you don't have sage or dislike it's aroma, you can use incense (try to find one that corresponds to your desire). Carry the bag in your pocket. Every so often, redo the blessing on it.

This is a large smoky quartz cluster. Approx 6" in length. The photo does not do it justice. The point are jet back and more translucent towards their base. I only have one but this is a must have for a collector. I was lucky to get in a large lot I got from a geologists personal collection. Smoky Quartz is believed to change negative energy to positive. How to cleanse crystals for healing or magick: There are many methods for crystal cleansing. Choose the one that resonates with you. How to cleanse crystals with salt Bury your crystals in sea salt or kosher salt and let them sit for 24 hours. Wash your crystals in salted water. Add 1 tablespoon per cup of warm water. Allow to sit for 24 hrs. If you feel inclined, ask your deity to bless your crystals. Sun or full moon method for crystal cleansing Lay your crystal out on a black cloth under the full moon or the sun. Choose a safe place where others won't spot them and take them. Black absorbs the energy from the moon or sun and helps draw into down into your stones. The goddess governs the night so you may want to ask her to bless you stones if using the moon energy. Likewise, god governs the day and can bless your stones if using the sun. How to smudge crystals Smudge your crystals in a sage "smoke bath". This is a traditional cleansing method used by Native Americans and it works well with crystals. Basically, you run your crystal through the smoke of smoldering sage. We sell sage wands with include instructions for smudging. If you don't like sage smoke (smells like marijuana smoke), you can use incense in the same manner. You can also burn certain herbs on charcoal tablets for special needs. Use rose petals to love and emotional healing. Use patchouli leaf for money etc.... Ask for your deity to bless your crystals if you feel inclined to do so. How to cleanse crystal in a creek If you are fortunate enough to have a private creek or stream nearby, please your stones in an area where they won't be swept away and won't be spotted by folks who might take them. Ask for Gaia's blessing and / or the water spirit. Don't use this method if the current is likely to carry them off. Or... place them in a mesh bag that is tied off securely. How to cleanse crystals in a storm Place your crystals out when a storm is coming. It not only cleanses them, it really energizes them. Don't attempt this if the storm is near or is already happening. How to cleanse crystal through mediation 1. Place your crystals on a table and hold your open hands on them. 2. Breath deeply and relax. 3. In your mind's eye, see yourself pulling out the negative energy from the stones on your inhale. 4. As you exhale, see the dirty energy being expelled. 5. Do this until you are no longer able to draw off any more negative energy. Lay your stones out as mention above. Breath deeply and relax. Lay your open palms on the stones while praying to your deity to cleanse them. Do this until you feel they are clean and pure once again. Note: When leaving your crystals outside, make a note to recover them (I left mine outside for a month once and my husband almost mowed over them). This is a large smoky quartz cluster. Approx 6" in length. The photo does not do it justice. The point are jet back and more translucent towards their base. I only have one but this is a must have for a collector. I was lucky to get in a large lot I got from a geologists personal collection.

How to cleanse crystals for healing or magick:

There are many methods for crystal cleansing. Choose the one that resonates with you.

How to cleanse crystals with salt

Bury your crystals in sea salt or kosher salt and let them sit for 24 hours.
Wash your crystals in salted water. Add 1 tablespoon per cup of warm water. Allow to sit for 24 hrs.
If you feel inclined, ask your deity to bless your crystals.

Sun or full moon method for crystal cleansing

Lay your crystal out on a black cloth under the full moon or the sun. Choose a safe place where others won't spot them and take them. Black absorbs the energy from the moon or sun and helps draw into down into your stones. The goddess governs the night so you may want to ask her to bless you stones if using the moon energy. Likewise, god governs the day and can bless your stones if using the sun.

How to smudge crystals

Smudge your crystals in a sage "smoke bath". This is a traditional cleansing method used by Native Americans and it works well with crystals. Basically, you run your crystal through the smoke of smoldering sage. We sell sage wands with include instructions for smudging.
If you don't like sage smoke (smells like marijuana smoke), you can use incense in the same manner.
You can also burn certain herbs on charcoal tablets for special needs. Use rose petals to love and emotional healing. Use patchouli leaf for money etc....
Ask for your deity to bless your crystals if you feel inclined to do so.

How to cleanse crystal in a creek

If you are fortunate enough to have a private creek or stream nearby, please your stones in an area where they won't be swept away and won't be spotted by folks who might take them. Ask for Gaia's blessing and / or the water spirit. Don't use this method if the current is likely to carry them off. Or... place them in a mesh bag that is tied off securely.

How to cleanse crystals in a storm

Place your crystals out when a storm is coming. It not only cleanses them, it really energizes them. Don't attempt this if the storm is near or is already happening.

How to cleanse crystal through mediation

1. Place your crystals on a table and hold your open hands on them.

2. Breath deeply and relax.

3. In your mind's eye, see yourself pulling out the negative energy from the stones on your inhale.

4. As you exhale, see the dirty energy being expelled.

5. Do this until you are no longer able to draw off any more negative energy.
Lay your stones out as mention above. Breath deeply and relax. Lay your open palms on the stones while praying to your deity to cleanse them. Do this until you feel they are clean and pure once again.

Note: When leaving your crystals outside, make a note to recover them (I left mine outside for a month once and my husband almost mowed over them). Put them in an inconspicuous place so others won't take them. If you don't have a yard or porch, you can leave them on a window sill. Open the window if weather permits and it's safe to do so
